Welcome to the last lunation of this solar cycle. Today the New Moon occurred conjunct Neptune in its own sign of Pisces. As icing on the cake, Jupiter, the traditional ruler of Pisces before the discovery of Neptune, is in Sagittarius, its own sign.This blesses this lunar cycle with both wisdom and fortune. This is confirmed by the fact that the Sabian symbol for the degree of the New Moon is “In The Quiet Of His Study A Creative Individual Experiences A Flow Of Inspiration”.

This syzygy is sextile Saturn which may slow things down but also give them form. The Sabian symbol for the degree of Neptune is “An Easter Parade.” Easter is delayed by a month this year. It is formally defined as the Sunday following the first Full Moon after the Spring Equinox, both of which occur on March 20.

So why isn’t Easter on March 24 this year? Because the Church defines the Spring Equinox as always on March 21, even if it actually occurs on March 19 or 20. So by this arbitrary simplification, Easter will be delayed until April 21 this year. So we have a parade of extra days before Easter arrives.

Jupiter is at 22 and a half degrees of Sagittarius, with the Sabian symbol being “A Group Of Immigrants As They Fulfill The Requirements Of Entrance Into The New Country.” Easter is not the only thing being delayed here. Perhaps the Grinch has tired of Christmas and now wants to steal additional Christian holidays!

Saturn is just past 18 degrees of Capricorn, “A Five-Year-Old Child Carrying A Bag Filled With Groceries.” This appears to be our food for thought for this lunar cycle. Why is a Child bringing the food to the table? Who is this Child? Perhaps if we want to eat we will have to follow this Child?

I don’t usually quote scripture, but with all this context, how could one not call to mind Isaiah 11:6, which reads,

“The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb,
The leopard shall lie down with the kid,
The calf and the young lion and the fatling together;
And a little child shall lead them.”

I’ll leave you here with this angel food…
